To ensure you can enjoy your natural stone bracelet for a long time

Thank you for choosing COCORU MEDUSA jewelry. Natural stones are believed to be partners to their owners, sharing their energy with them. We would like to introduce how to care for your stones to maintain their natural brilliance and keep them in good condition.

Daily care

Natural stones are very delicate. A little care on a daily basis will help preserve their beauty for a long time.

  • Wipe gently after use: After wearing, gently wipe off any sebum or sweat from the surface with a soft cloth (such as a glasses cleaning cloth or a dedicated chamois leather). This alone will prevent the stones from tarnishing.

  • Avoid water and chemicals: It is recommended to remove the jewelry when doing housework, bathing, swimming, etc. Soap, detergents, perfumes, and cosmetics in particular can cause discoloration and deterioration of the stone.

  • Caution regarding direct sunlight: Some natural stones (such as amethyst and rose quartz) may fade in color if exposed to strong direct sunlight for extended periods. Please store them in a place away from direct sunlight.

Cleansing and arranging stones

"Purification" to balance the power of stones

Natural stones are said to easily absorb external influences. "Purification" is the process of relieving the stone's fatigue and restoring it to its original, clear energy. Do this once a week, or whenever you feel that the stone is tired.

1. Purification with crystal

This method involves placing the bracelet overnight on a crystal cluster or small quartz crystals to allow it to rest. [Recommended stones] This is the safest and most reliable method, suitable for all natural stones.

2. Purification by moonlight

On nights of a full moon or new moon, place it by a window and let it bask in the moonlight. It will be sufficiently charged with energy in just a few hours. [Recommended stones] Moonstone, labradorite, and any other stone are suitable.

3. Purification with sage or incense

Pass the bracelet through the smoke of white sage or your favorite incense several times. [Recommended stone] When you also want to purify the space.

4. Purification with running water (※Caution required)

Run a thin stream of tap water over the stone and immerse it in it. After cleansing, wipe off any remaining moisture thoroughly with a dry cloth. [Caution] Avoid this method for stones that are sensitive to water, such as hematite and lapis lazuli.

Important message

If you notice that the stone's luster has dulled or the elastic has loosened, it might be a sign from the stone that it needs a rest.

"Please enjoy your conversation with stones as partners that will brighten your everyday life."

Natural Stone Care Quick Reference Guide

⚠️ [Storage Precautions] Natural stones are different types

The stones have different hardnesses. To prevent them from scratching each other, please store them individually in the dividers of the jewelry box or in the included drawstring bags (such as suede bags).

💡Quick notes on the properties of stones (for your reference)

Strawberry quartz / Smoky quartz belongs to the same quartz group, so it is relatively resistant to water and detergents. However, like amethyst, it will fade in color if exposed to ultraviolet light (direct sunlight) for extended periods. We recommend storing it in a place away from light.

Agate is an extremely hard stone that is relatively resistant to water, detergents, and sunlight, making it tough and easy to handle.

Labradorite is a beautiful stone with a unique luster (labradorescence), but it is actually susceptible to damage from impacts from certain directions (it has cleavage). Also, prolonged washing with detergent or exposure to sunlight can dull its luster, so it's best to dry it with a cloth as a general rule, and only rinse it quickly with water if absolutely necessary.

Hypersthene is a beautiful stone with a striking luster, but because it contains a lot of iron, moisture can cause deterioration. While it can be washed with water, it's important to avoid detergents and to wipe off any moisture immediately after washing. It's also somewhat delicate to impact. Pearls are the most delicate of this lineup. They are sensitive to acid, heat, water, and detergents, so as indicated in the table, the safest care is to limit yourself to gently wiping them with a dry cloth after wearing.

Purification methods

Place the crystal (cluster or chips) on top of the crystal to let it rest.
